My Exit Strategy

  1. Exit
    • I intend to cultivate and grow this product for about 5-10 years after which I would sell the business. I will sell it at it's peak and let someone else come up with new, fresh ideas to continue to grow the business.
  2. Reasoning
    • I intend to sell it because I will be starting my new profession as a Sports Agent and also I will be looking for other opportunities to exploit in different areas. Also I think it would
be a good idea to get a fresh set of eyes on the product to further grow it.
  3. Influence
    • I do not think my exit strategy had much influence on my concept as I never thought about the final plan until now. Up to this point I have always been focused on growing the product to become a success but I never thought about exiting. This particular strategy has not influenced any growth intentions or use and acquisition of resources. I have fully intended to grow this business as big as possible. I think after 5-10 years I most likely will have taken it as far as I possibly could have and I think it would be time for some new people to get their hands on it while I explore other ventures and career paths.

  1. Hey Brian,

Once again you are always one step ahead of the game your like 1 out of the 4 people that have done this already. I think exit strategy is a great idea! I agree about how your exit startegy doesnt have much influence on your concept because I thought the same thing I have not thought about it yet. I think thats cool that you would rather be a sports agent then have a business not a lot people would do that it but its awesome that you want to follow your dreams!

  2. Hey Brian! I think your exit strategy gave me a new perspective on what to do with the future of my company. I did not even think about how selling the company would bring more, new ideas to the company that might not have been previously thought of. I think its awesome that you still plan to look for new opportunities and not just stick with one entrepreneurial venture!

  3. Brian,

You have been my favorite blog to read all semester!! I think this plan is brilliant and it would be a huge success!!! I know sometimes it can be tough to imagine an exit strategy when we have been focused on getting it started! I can agree with selling the business off. I would do this or keep my business for my children. I can have the tendency to get bored and want something different; I don't know if this is good or bad. However, it is also a smart business move; grow it, make a profit and sell it! Overall this has been a great concept and I hope you can actually implement these fan blades into the industry one day! Good luck!!

  4. Hey Brian,
I am really glad that you were in our group as I have thoroughly enjoyed following the progress of your venture. I also choose to eventually sell my venture for the same reason that you did. I want to be able to focus my time on my chosen profession and all of the new opportunities that will be available to me within my profession once I have graduated. I think that completing this venture will definitely give you an edge when looking for new opportunities to exploit. I wish you the best of luck in this venture, your professional career, and any other ventures that you choose to pursue!
